# Help

Quick answers for day one.

## Install

- Download the installer from the download page and run it.
- The installer adds a Start menu shortcut for each app: Draft, Grid and Deck.

## Open a file

- Double-click a .docx, .xlsx or .pptx: it opens in the right app.
- Or use File › Open (Ctrl+O).
- The file is read in its original format. There is no conversion.

## Save

- Ctrl+S writes to the same file, in the same format.
- Ctrl+Shift+S (or F12) saves under another name or somewhere else.
- Whatever Grafos does not edit in a file is kept when you save.

## Work offline

- Everything works with no internet.
- The network is used to update the program.

## Where your files live

- Your documents stay where you saved them.
- The program's settings live in a system folder, separate from your documents.

## If something goes wrong

- Help › Diagnostics shows what the program detected on your machine and in the open file.
- When reporting a problem, send what that screen shows.
